Thrifting - What I look for + My favorite places & A few finds

It's no secret that I love to thrift shop & wander antique malls.
Often when I am browsing thrift stores I see stuff I would like to purchase but have no need for, so then I got to thinking :: how fun would it be to have my own little booth space to curate someday?! Then I could buy things, revamp them and help them find a new home. Add it to the list of my current schemes & dreams. For now I'll buy things for my home & extra things to re-purpose and gift.

Thrift Tip :: I've found it's helpful necessary to go into shops with a specific list or item in mind. If not, you will get completely overwhelmed. I keep a running list on the notes tab in my phone and have a thrift pinterest board.

My list ::
  • Stool
  • Desk
  • Plant Stands
  • Dresser to turn into a Potting Bench (something like this)
  • Outdoor bench for front porch
  • Coffee table for basement
  • Tall vase or pitcher
  • Large glass jug
  • Tall basket for plant holder
  • Wooden sign to re-paint
  • Galvanized items
Pieces I look for every time ::
  • Candlesticks
  • Pillar candle holders
  • Butter crocks
  • Lanterns
  • Tool boxes
  • Wire baskets
  • Fun plates / serving dishes
